"A S Green is at Gittiesburgh hospital sick Earl had a Lettr from him Last night and hee sed that hee was Detaild thair to help take care of the sick and wonded and i ame Glad of it for A. S. was sick when he fell out for i was with him when he fell out But i had a pass and hee did not and they Reported him as a Deseartor and they have reducet him to the ranks Earl is prmoted in his Plaice and if i was in A. S. Plaice i would nevar come Back...they have Plaid a mean Game on him"
